Progressive Media nominated as Best Mobile Studio at Develop Industry Excellence Awards.

We are thrilled to report that Progressive Media has been announced as one of four finalist in the prestigious Develop Industry Excellence Awards "Best Mobile Studio" category.

Now in its sixth year, the Develop Industry Excellence Awards is the only event which rewards the work done by Europe’s leading games development companies.

The four finalists this year are:
- Progressive Media
- Ideaworks3D
- Digital Chocolate Finland (Sumea)
- Distinctive Developments

The 2008 ceremony will be held at the Hilton Metropole, Brighton on Wednesday July 30th – over 500 leading games industry execs are expected to attend.

Progressive Media expands into Nintendo DS market.

Aalborg, Denmark - June 6th 2008 - Progressive Media, a leading mobile games developer, today announced that the company has set up a new division focused on Nintendo DS development, and that the first Nintendo DS title is launching this holiday season.

Published by KREA Media, "Pixeline and the Mirror of Dreams" takes the well-known Pixeline children’s character through her first adventures on Nintendo DS. In order to find the missing Mr. Hak and the mirror of dreams, Pixeline must travel through 11 worlds in the Pixieland universe, interact with a number of different personalities, buy and sell items, and play through 14 fun touch- and microphone enabled mini-games.

Thomas Nielsen, CEO of Progressive Media explains the strategy behind the move on to the console scene: "We're determined to evolve Progressive Media into one of the worlds leading independent cross-platform game specialists, and our move into Nintendo DS is a big step in that direction.".

SolaRola nominated as a Best Game finalist at BREW 2008.

We are thrilled to report that "SolaRola" has been announced as one of the three finalist in the prestigious BREW 2008 Awards "Best Game" category.

The BREW Developer Awards recognizes publishers and developers that have demonstrated outstanding achievements in the creation of BREW applications for the wireless industry.

The three finalists this year are:
- Guitar Hero III Mobile (published by Hands-On Mobile)
- Metal Gear Solid Mobile (published by Konami Mobile).
- SolaRola (developed by Progressive Media, published by Eidos)

An anonymous panel of industry experts has selected the three finalists for the game category. The 2008 winner will be revealed at the awards ceremony, held at BREW 2008 in San Diego, CA, in the Partner Pavilion at 6:00 PM on Wednesday May 28th.

Jah, nu må vi se. Digital Chocolate er jo røv seje, både art og tech-wise - og så er de finnere. Så mon ikke vi får whoop-ass alligevel ;)

Ååårhh hvad? Jeg går da altid med finmasket ringbrynje inden under t-shirten. Så det er ikke noget problem :lol:

Iøvrigt, ved ikke om du kender Mr. Goodliving (også finnere), de blev opkøbt af RealArcade for et par år siden. De er også pænt seje. Prøvede deres Playman Extreme Running spil, ret godt lavet.
Ok, det er lidt tungt på de lidt langsommere mobiler, men animationssystemet er total cool.

Kender dem ikke, men kiggede lige på spillet, som ser meget fedt ud.
-hvornår får i svar på konkurrencen?

Meeen altså, lad os nu se, det er jo som sagt nogle vilde fætre vi er oppe imod, som trodsalt har mere track-record end vi har.

Så blev det alligevel Digital Chokolate der løb med sejren.
-men de er jo også mobilspillenes EA (bare med bedre spil) så det er der vel ikke noget at sige til.

Jeg havde vist en hjerneblødning. Resultatet er IKKE annonceret endnu, så hvilken een du referer til von Knut, ved jeg ikke. Men det er ikke den her ihvertfald.

Jeg faldt lige over en eller anden artikel den anden dag om:
"Digital voted best by the industry"
-eller noget i den dur.

-men det kan da være at det var for en anden pris / tidligere år...


-så festen er ikke lukket endnu :)
