Dear Gamedevelopers,

IGDA.dk is continuing the bi-weekly monday meetings, and would like to start a discussion on what to fill the programme with.

Last night, Monday 20th feb, we had a postmortem, a game presentation and an overview of the mobile gaming market. And last year we had a broad range of content.

WIG (Women in games) SIG
Gamedesign SIG
Unity3D introduction
Christmas hygge with glögg & æbleskiver.
Game presentations
Sound programming

We have talked about:

Having a timed speaker format. 10 minutes to present some subject.
Themed meetings. E.g: "Unity3D middleware experiences" GUI, AI, asset packs.
Introduction to network programming
Delivering a simple game to the appstore (Develop a simple product and walk through the full process)
Hack & Game - Hardware workshop
Game physics
Introduction to shaders, and perhaps General processing on the GPU
Show us your pipeline - invite speakers to present what tools they use to deliver their content.
Introduction to Blender modelling/rigging/animation
Game concept pitching
Polishing your game - "Going from good to great!"

Please comment on the above or suggest what you would like to see in the future.

Kind regards

Jesper Taxbøl

We are also planning on doing more Unity SIG's - so if there are any specific areas of the Unity engine, that you would like to know more about - please post your ideas here :)

All ideas are welcome - we are aiming at beginners as well as advanced Unity users.

We are in the process of open sourcing our FFWD framework that allow you to port your Unity games to XNA so it can run on Windows Phone 7 or Xbox360/XBLIG. If it has any interest, I would love to talk about it. :)
