Refactored Games is currently working on a new indie PC game: a planet colony sim/RTS called Unclaimed World (http://unclaimedworld-game.com/) - and We Need Your Help!

We are looking for a motivated game programmer who would like experience from an unpaid internship.
The internship will focus on gameplay and UI programming, development of level design tools and tutorial system.
We are looking for a person with interest in city builder / strategy games who wants to take up the challenge of designing a complex, yet easy-to use and good-looking interface.
In return you will get a lot of experience, meet many other game developers in Spilhuset and get a published / released project on the portfolio.


Your tasks
You will work closely with the designer, in our engine made from scratch (XNA), doing:

-Cool features regarding gameplay events and tutorial mission
-Tweaks and modifications of the existing level design tools
-UI design/implementation
-Design and implement web-based download structure


Your skills
Needed: Experience with game development and C-style languages (C#, Java, C, C++)
Nice to haves: Experience with C#, Visual Studio, with XNA, PHP.

The formalia
The internship is unpaid and can range from 1 to 6 month, either part or full time.
The internship will take place in Denmark - København K (Spilhuset).
The internship is planned to start in January.
The application date is asap.

About the project

Refactored Games is an indie company founded by two Danish brothers, focusing on one game: Unclaimed World (formerly known as Conlan’s Claim).
We are developing it in cooperation with PortaPlay (who handles project management) and with support from the Nordic Game Program.
The game will be launched as prepaid open-beta, in Q2 2013.
