Junior 3D/2D position in a 2+ year project at Mechanical Fruits for the game “Estelle”.
A First Person Horror Shooter - set in deep space.

Mechanical fruits
We, at Mechanical Fruits, a small independent game company, in the process of concept development and securing finance.
We are currently in the production of two games for iPad (“Fubee” and “Sketchman”) and preproduction of the PC game “Estelle”.
From august 2017 Mechanical Fruits will be situated, in our new office space, in Copenhagen.

Who are you?
First and foremost you have strong graphical abilities, either self-taught or otherwise.
We do not require any form of higher education, (eg. Bachelor or master degree).
You also need to have a basic understanding of PBR Materials/Shaders and a basic understanding of game model optimization (level of details)

The Job
You will work with either character modelling and/or hard surface environmental modelling
You will be taking direction from, and working close with the lead modeller and game designer.

The first three months of the job is probational, where you will be working in your spare time (for free) on a specific game related portfolio and brushing up on the project related workflow/pipeline.
If the probationary period is satisfactory you will be offered a paid position as a Junior 3D/2D Artist.

Responsibilities:
Produce 3D game assets (character or environmental) for the PC Game “Estelle”
Create relevant texture maps

Required:
  • - Experienced in 3D Studio Max, Blender or similar.
    - Photoshop or similar
    - Strong graphics skills
    - Interest in Gaming development
    - Teamplayer
    - Self-motivated and focused worker, able to identify and meet goals
Plus:
  • - Mixamo
    - Zbrush / Mudbox
    - Substance Painter
    - Unity
    - Traditional art skills
    - Interest in Sci-Fi :-)
