Mechanic Miner - Network Engineer (paid)

Unread post by finn_nielsen » 20 Jun 2017, 10:45

At Stillplay we are developing Mechanic Miner - a 2D construction adventure game. We are working on adding a multiplayer mode to the game, and are actively looking for someone to join the team, who can help us build the networking code.

You will work with the game's other two programmers, on elements like:-

- separation of rendering and game logic for the purpose of interpolation of reconciliated game state
- serialization of game state, including Chipmunk2D physics engine state
- UDP-based protocol for client/server communication
- client-side prediction to hide internet latency

We expect applicants to have documented expirence in programming, and specifically one or more of C++, socket programming and physics engines (preferably Chipmunk2D)

We are a Danish game developer and have physical offices in Copenhagen and in Viborg, but co-location is not a must for us, so if you live elsewhere, you could still apply.

Please submit your application including a CV and examples of prior work to jobs@mechanicminer.com
