Art Director and 3D Artist - Mighty Moth Games [PAID]

Unread post by BenjaminS » 30 Aug 2017, 14:38

We are looking for a visual wonder for a fulltime employment at our new game studio Mighty Moth Games in Copenhagen. We are a handfull of seasoned game developers who love to make and play games. We are currently working on a high-end indie game for PC and console.

We offer you a leading role in the game production where you will have responsibility for the overall visual quality and direction of the game as the Art Director. You will have freedom to put your own touch on the game in close collaboration with our Game Director.

You will join a small team where we all have more than one role on the production. This means that you will also work as the 3D Artist who can create most of the content for the game on your own. Later in the development we’ll hire a second game artist who will supplement your skill set in the best way possible, so you don’t need to be a complete generalist.

You should be able to go from a big picture perspective to zooming in on detailed design and love doing both. You are ambitious, talented and always strive to learn more and get better.

We believe that the best way to learn is by doing. Therefore we would appreciate if you have at least 2-3 years of practical experience. If you don’t have work experience from the business we will expect you to show us some pretty bad-ass projects made in your spare time.

On the skill side we would love if you are:
- somebody who makes 3D games look amazing.
- a person who have a hands-on approach to design.
- experienced with art direction, pre-production and concept art.
- great at 3D modelling for games with performance in focus.
- making amazing textures and are an expert at Adobe Photoshop or similar.
- expert at Maya, 3D Studio Max or similar.
- experienced with art production for Unity (or other game engine).
- comfortable with the process of implementing your great work into a game engine.
- able to work with shaders, lighting etc. to give the game a unique look.

It’s not bad at all if you:
- have knowledge about production design.
- are experienced with rigging and animation.
- have technical experience with programming shaders, particles or other cool visual stuff.

Send us an application with well described project experience and your precise role on those project. And of course a lot of visuals that both show final result but also your workprocess, wireframes and pre-production.

You can reply in both english and danish.
Your application will be purely confidential.

We would like to have your application before september 28th, but if you read this later than that, feel free to send us your stuff, we are soon hiring again.

Send your application to benjamin@mightymoth.com and write “Art Director application” in the subject.
