Greetings All :

I am George a designer and artist making “Yoric : The Night Of Nights ” for over a year

Imagine if the Dizzy series , Monkey Island, and Discworld had a baby .. and that baby grew up to be a snarky wizard's apprentice that blew himself up. That game is what Yoric wants to be.

A slow paced 2d platform game in which you control an undead skull and in some situations some supportive characters, Delivered in a traditionally penciled , animated and digitally watercolor world that aims to give the aesthetic of a living story book, carrying a sarcastic fantasy tone, with a mix of narrative and environmental focused puzzles.

I have been doing significant preproduction on my own for a year, chiseling the project with animation, art , narrative, design, and whatever is necessary to get the game running to a satisfying gameplay proof of concept.

I am looking for partners who like the idea of the project and are ready to dive into making the vertical slice and from there moving beyond.
Be it art, animation, or design, an extra hand is always welcome and any idea and direction that serves the spirit of the game is a welcome prospect to explore.

But i am mainly posting here to find a partner who can program in Unity and who is interested into pushing the premise of the game further with me. The game is relying on a confident and smart mix of very simple 2d gameplay mechanics mainly borrowing and updating systems of the Dizzy games and other traditional adventure game mechanics such as a simple inventory system and a narrative interaction with npcs. mostly what you see in games such as The Cave , OxenFree and Night In The Woods.
