Unread post by jackpotdk » 20 Aug 2014, 14:00

Hi guys,

GamesBusiness is Denmarks premiere conference focused on business development in the games sector. We're lining up our best ever selection of experienced developers, publishers and investors from the US and Europe.

This year, our focus will be on "Roads To Revenue". We will explore some of the many ways that games can generate revenue, and discuss ways to achieve goals. We'll look into the pros and cons of freemium, premium, episodic and adverfunded models, which models work well on what platforms, and where to point your lasers for the future to come.

On October 9th 2014, you'll be able to hear from and meet:
  • Ben Cousins, freelancer
Ben is a 15-year veteran of the games industry, currently working as an independent consultant. He has worked as a senior executive, studio head, project lead, creative director, lead designer, level designer, character artist and QA tester - at companies like DICE, Lionhead, Sony Computer Entertainment and DeNA. He has worked on a total of ten separate free-to-play games, across console, PC client, PC browser smartphone and tablet and launched games all over the world, including Asia.
  • George Osborn, PocketGamer.biz
George works as a freelance writer and events producer for a number of different companies including Pocket Gamer Biz, Osney Media, The Business of Apps and other channels.

Jan is Brand Manager for Vivid Games, a Polish developer with a long history in mobile games. The company has developed more than 150 titles, and in June 2012 managed to successfully enter the NewConnect alternative share market, which makes it one of only a few European developers listed on a stock market. The company has recently positioned itself as a AAA mobile/tablet developers with impressive titles such as GodFire: Rise Of Prometheus and Real Boxing.
