About the Job UI design covers both the user experience design, as well as the graphic design of the interface components themselves.
Your primary responsibility is to create easy to use, visually pleasing user interfaces for games, covering both in-game user interfaces as well as out-of-game interfaces (e.g. homepage). You achieve this in collaboration with the art director, the game designers, and artists.
In addition to designing the user interfaces, you will play a key role in carrying out and responding to usability tests.
As a UI designer, you are expected to care deeply about delivering a smooth, consistent, and engaging user experience. You will report to the artistic director.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in designing user interfaces for games and/or websites.
Good communication skills, both for presentation situations, as well as when working with colleagues.
Excellent visual communication skills, including UI layout and consistency, and communication through images and icons.
Excellent Photoshop and Illustrator skills.
Broad knowledge of and interest in developments in user experience design.
Experience in working with usability testing.
A great work ethic, with a focus on working efficiently, achieving deadlines, and being both responsible and responsive in your attitude.]
