Hi everyone!
If you know any animators (freelancers, graduates, students, etc), please let them know about this.

The Animation Workshophave some spots available for animators interested in joining DADIU.
We're inviting everyone interested in animation for games to apply for some of the animator positions at DADIU - The Danish Academy of Interactive Entertainment through The Animation Workshop.

About DADIU
The games created at DADIU have received critical acclaim, with several nominations and awards at the IGF, PAX10, Indiecade and Unite, among others.

As an animator at DADIU, you'll be working together with experienced students from the fields of programming, sound, gamedesign, directors and project managers -- all working together to create your own game over the course of 4 months. Team sizes are around 12 people per team.

The semester features lectures, courses and talks by game industry veterans and academics.
DADIU 2013 runs from August 28th until December 12th 2013. DADIU is a full time program and you will not be able to follow other classes.

What DADIU offers:
- A full course in the fall semester of 2013, focusing on game development.
- Courses in relevant technologies (e.g. animation for games, game pipelines and tech etc.)
- Practical experience, working in a game production environment.
- A finished game project to put in your resumé

Free to participate

Hi Emil
Is it a paid job, or is it like a school semester, where you would be able to get SU? :)

Hey Kirsten!

If you're still hanging around Viborg or the nearby area, let's meet up and talk things over :)

Unfortunately as you've already graduated and finished your bachelor education, getting SU isn't an option.
The Animation Workshop is paying a fee per student we send in, so we can't pay you a salary -- but the money that we pay go towards stuff like free housing during the course, so at least you can avoid having to pay rent in the period.

If a full semester away from freelance jobs and stuff isn't your cup of tea, we could work something out where you would be attached to the two game productions -- one lasting about two weeks in september, and the other lasting about 6 weeks in november-december.

We're looking into a way of extending the bachelor educations at TAW with 6 months, to accomodate for the "new" DADIU 2.0 structure which lasts a semester, as opposed to a month, so future students would be able to do both an internship at a company, as well as join stuff like DADIU - but that's at least a few years away, so until then, we're looking around for people willing to join for the experience.

Hi Emil

Unfortunately I think I have to say no. I would really like to work on a DADIU game again, but I don't think I can make it work at the moment, when I have to finance it myself.
I hope you find someone else!
