Hi, i cant help but ask if the style choice (wow, league of legends) isnt counter to the dark themes your exploring? Why this direction?

You are right it is probably not a direct counter, but I have tried many different directions when it comes to mood and style.
Countering it completely, using a style like Super Mario, Rayman, makes the game look too colorful and child like, and removes the disturbing feeling I want, when you discover an owner of a house is ex. a cannibal. Making the game realistic removes the comical aspect of the game and makes it into a horror, so I choose a stylized look to both support the disturbing, but also comical aspect of the game.

I have previous had both comical and disturbing experiences in games styled like Warcraft etc. and I am very comfortable working with that visual style so I thought it would be a good choice as I am currently the only artist on the team.

I appreciate your question and I hope this clarifies the choice of style =)
