Join us at Playwood Project, where the synergy of innovation and game development meets a tightly-knit team culture.

We are crafting 'Successor,' a unique blend of turn-based and real-time strategy gaming, and we're seeking your talent and personality to enrich both our game and team. Become a part of a studio where every idea counts, contributing to redefining the boundaries of strategy gaming.

We're in search of an on-site experienced C++ programmer well-versed in Unreal Engine. Your role will involve building and driving our core game features and backend systems to a high technical standard, ensuring optimal game performance and user experience

Your role involves close collaboration with the whole team, where you will be part of the daily creative and decision-making process, giving you a big impact on the final product.

What we expect from you
  • Be an Unreal engine g33k. (preferably UE5). Understand the internal unreal lifecycle, pipelines, tools, extensions
  • Keen eye for data architecture/structure and how that works with the unreal ecosystem to make performance oriented code
    C++ (mid-high level)
  • Team player
  • You communicate effectively in verbal and written English
  • Willing to learn and share knowledge
What would be an extra benefit
  • Experience with VR/MR
  • You have shipped a least one title
  • You love playing games
  • As our games revolve around a procedural framework having experience within this field will be considered a huge advantage

We offer
Be a part of a small dynamic team with mostly seasoned developers working against all odds towards the ideas we believe in. We have a 4-day work week from the office in Copenhagen, with the option to occasionally work remotely when needed.

You will become a part of the foundation of the studio´s culture and future growth where we aim to excel in delivering high-quality game experiences that are innovative and fresh with a high production value.

We have previously released Wartile and for the last 2 years we have been working on Successor, a blend between turn-based and real-time strategy game inspired by miniature worlds, with a release next year. So we have a busy time ahead, and we need your help, ideas, and creative drive to reach our goals.

We are located in Copenhagen where we expect you to join us.

Please submit your CV, a cover letter, a link to your portfolio, and anything else related to your background and experience to jobs@playwoodgames.com
