Things seems to be taking a different turn for Dead Ends.
Now it's seems to have become a zombie killing TV gameshow.

And sad news from PortaPlay / Bird Island.. my former work place for quite a bit of years until I decided to go my own ways.

All the best to the former team and crossing fingers a new company will rise from the ashes.. seems like that is the plan.

The kids title 'Mus & Kran' developed by Those Eyes earlier launched on the Nintendo Switch.
But now also for free on the mobile!

So it is time for the DK Steam sales chart for the first half of the year.

Sadly only 3 titles seems to stick out from the pack, but that is to be expected in the ultra competitive landscape of game development. A few free (mostly student) games was included but shouldn't be counted among the commercial releases.

The State of Unreal 2025

Comment: it is a bad ass update! Judging on the cover. They keep cementing the A - AAA studio space.

(DK) Wombo Games - Raiders of Blackveil has put their gameplay trailer on youtube now. Previously it was only on the Steam page.

And announced the game will partake in the upcoming Steam Next Fest the 9th of June.

I do see some issues with that however. Used correctly Steam Next Fest can really boost the wishlist to a magnificent degree (providing the game has the right appeal). But it's a one shot and you have to be well seeded with followers and wishlists. Something Blackveil is not super saturated with currently.
#3052 in wishlists and 512 followers indicating >some< following but 'probably' not enough to make a huge splash?!
So they do certainly run the risk of wasting the Next Fest opportunity. Obviously crossing fingers and hoping all the best!!.. I just worry! But let's see! Hoping the best! :D

ADDING: Spotted on the steam forums their EA release date is 11/07/2025. So it makes sense to do Next Fest now. Though some better prepping earlier would have been better. Anyways.. hope the best!

There is already a free demo on Steam.. kind of not announced?! Just found it via SteamDB.
(UPDATE: Just gave the demo a spin for some minutes in solo play. It's nice! Plays really well out of the box!)

The demo of Half Past Yellow's Spectacle has now become a completely free and stand alone game. Albeit released in the unfinished it was as a demo more or less. Now known as 'Spectacle: Worlds Unseen'.

Super nice to see the project gets some kind of life!

And it's actually a good FPS puzzle game! Go grab it!
